Who we are

Floral Gatherings is a husband-and-wife DIY floral arrangement party experience based in Welland, Ontario, serving Southern Ontario. You can reach us any time at [email protected].

Cookies

We don't set any. There's no cookie banner on this site because there's nothing to consent to — we store nothing on your device. (One small exception that isn't a cookie: if you arrive from one of our ads, your browser remembers which ad for as long as that tab stays open, so the estimator can tell us. Close the tab and it's gone.)

Analytics

We like to know which pages people find helpful, so we run our own analytics on our own server (a tool called Umami). It's cookieless and privacy-first. It gives us anonymous, aggregate numbers only — things like how many people visited a page, roughly what country or region they're in, whether they're on a phone or a computer, which site linked them to us, and which button on our own site brought them to the estimator. It cannot identify you, follow you to other websites, or build a profile about you.

The contact form

When you send us a note through the contact form, we receive the name, email, and message you provide — and we use them for exactly one thing: to write you back. That's it. We don't add you to a mailing list or share your details with anyone.

The price estimator

Our price estimator lets you build a gathering and see a price. To get your estimate, you give us your email and tick a box that does two things: we email you your estimate, and we add you to our mailing list for the occasional offer or update. We don't send many, and every one has an unsubscribe link.

Here's what we keep, on our own server:

• Your email address — so we can send your estimate and, while you're subscribed, the odd offer or update.
• Your first name, region, and the date you have in mind — only if you give them. All three are optional. The region is one of our service areas picked from a list (like "Niagara") — enough to know roughly where you are, never your address. The date helps us check which flowers will be in season.
• The estimate itself — the occasion, the arrangements you picked, and the price we showed you. If you reached us through one of our ads, we also note which ad and search term, so we know which ads are worth running. We hold onto estimates to understand what people are planning and to keep our pricing fair, until we delete them.
• A record of your consent — when you ticked the box (or unsubscribed), the wording you agreed to, and the internet address and browser it came from. Canadian anti-spam law asks us to be able to show this, and it's how we make sure we honour your choice.

We don't share any of it with anyone, and we don't use it for anything else.

Keeping bots out. The estimator uses Cloudflare Turnstile, a privacy-friendly check that confirms you're a real person — usually without you noticing. It looks at a few signals from your browser, sets no tracking cookies, and isn't used for advertising.

Booking and paying

When you book a gathering, we send your invoice through Square, our payment processor. To do that, Square receives your name, your email, and what's on your invoice. If you pay by card, Square handles your card details directly — we never see your card number. Square uses this to send your invoice and process your payment, under its own privacy policy (which covers things like fraud checks). We don't save you to Square's customer list, and nothing goes to Square for marketing.

Prefer e-transfer? Then none of this touches Square at all.

One thing we can't delete on request: the record of what you paid. Canadian tax law requires businesses to keep payment records (generally for six years), so we and Square hold onto those.

Unsubscribing

Every email we send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Click it, confirm, and you're off the list — no login, no questions. You can also just reply to any email or write to [email protected] and we'll do it by hand. We keep a note that you unsubscribed so we can honour it — you'll only rejoin if you tick the box on the estimator again yourself.

Links to other places

We link out to our Instagram and a few other services. Once you leave our site, those places have their own privacy practices, which we don't control.

Your choices

We don't build profiles about you, so there isn't much to manage — but it's all yours to control:

• Our conversations. When we email back and forth, we keep that history so we can pick up where we left off. If you'd like it deleted, just ask.
• Your estimator details. Ask us to delete everything we hold about you — your email, name, region, estimates, and consent records — and we'll erase it all.
• Seeing what we have. Curious what we've kept? Ask, and we'll send it to you.
