Our Story
It started with a Tinder pun and a really good hunch.
It all started with a message: "Winter gives me an Aarani nose."
Stupid? Yes. Funny enough to get a first date? Barely. But it worked — and on that very first date, Aarani called something nobody else saw coming. "Did you hear about this crazy disease going around? They might shut everything down!" He said there was absolutely no way that would happen.
She was right. She's been right about a lot of things since.
Fast forward to wedding planning, and flowers were next on the list. With connections to nurseries across Southern Ontario through his trucking business, he had an idea: what if we just did the flowers ourselves?
Aarani wasn't so sure. But they gave it a shot — and it became the most fun, most memorable part of their entire wedding. Their families came together, rolled up their sleeves, and made something beautiful. The centrepieces even doubled as gifts for the guests.
After the wedding, something unexpected happened. Friends and family started calling. "Can you help us do the same thing?" Then more calls. Then four more weddings. Floral Gatherings wasn't a business plan — it was a happy accident that just kept growing.
What We Do
We deliver fresh, curated flowers and everything you need to arrange them yourself — tools, tips, and step-by-step guides included. No experience required. Just good company and a crafty attitude.
Whether it's a wedding, a bridal shower, a girls' night, or a team building event — we'll help you plan the perfect gathering, then hand you the blooms and let the magic happen.
Who Does What
He's the big-idea guy — sourcing the flowers, making the deliveries, and dreaming up new ways to make every gathering better. (He's also, surprisingly, the computer nerd.)
Aarani is the backbone — detail-oriented, organized, and the kind of planner who makes sure nothing falls through the cracks. And when you need someone in your corner? She's your biggest supporter.
Together, they make a pretty good team.
Why We Do It
There's a moment at every gathering that makes it all worth it. Someone walks in nervous — "I'm not creative," "I've never done this before" — and a couple hours later, they're laughing, arranging like a pro, and wondering why they ever doubted themselves.
At one wedding, a guest showed up with zero confidence and zero interest in crafting. A few bud vases and some friendly encouragement later? They were fully in the zone, laughing and loving every minute.
And then there was Brian. Beer-and-hockey Brian. The last person anyone expected to fall in love with flower arranging. He crushed it.
There's a Brian in every group. That's our favourite part.
What It's Really About
We wanted the tradition of flowers to take on a new form — something fun, personal, and accessible. What surprised us most about doing our own wedding flowers wasn't how they looked. It was how it felt. The act of building something together — even for just a few hours — turned out to be one of the most meaningful parts of the whole experience.
That's what we want for you too.
Because the best arrangements aren't just beautiful — they're made together.
